Who We Are
Nearly 40 years ago, on our third date, we visited Napa Valley. Amid rolling vineyards and golden light, we fell in love—with the land, with the wine, and with each other. Barb looked out over the vines and said, “I dream of owning land in Napa Valley.” That dream became O’Brien Estate.
A Lifelong Passion, Grown on One Property
Nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, our family-owned winery and 40-acre estate is more than a vineyard—it’s a reflection of a lifelong passion for wine, romance, and craftsmanship. Every bottle we produce is grown, made, and bottled entirely on our property, a rarity in today’s wine world.
Our approach is simple and sincere: honor the land, respect the grape, and let nature speak. We use only natural winemaking methods—no artificial enhancements—allowing the soil, air, and sunlight of Napa Valley to shine through. Our wines are aged in small French oak barrels to bring out the nuance and depth of our unique terroir. The result is a true signature of time and place in every glass.
Every Cluster, by Hand
Only grapes grown on our low-yield, wide-spaced vineyard are used in O’Brien Estate wines. Each cluster is hand-harvested, fermented in small batches in the winery beside our home, and aged with care—overseen with quiet precision and a deep respect for the craft.
