O’Brien Estate hosts private events for up to 70 guests — group tastings, marriage proposals, anniversary celebrations, and company gatherings — on a family-owned Napa Valley estate that can be reserved entirely for your party. For full-estate events there is no site fee: the evening begins with six cases of estate wine, and every unopened bottle goes home with you. Catering can be arranged, and Bart and Barb help plan each event personally.
Group Tastings


A group tasting at O’Brien Estate is the private tasting you came to Napa for, at a longer table. Your party is seated together among the vines — no crowded tasting bar, no rushing, no strangers at the next table. A member of the family or our small team pours estate wines and tells the stories behind them, at a pace set by your group, not a script.
Group tastings work beautifully for birthdays, reunions, girls’ weekends, and milestone celebrations. Larger groups are priced individually — tell us your date and party size and we’ll shape the experience around it.
Proposals


Some questions deserve a vineyard. We’ve helped plan proposals in the mustard bloom, at sunset among the vines, and at a quiet table set for two — with the ring chilled alongside the rosé, a photographer hidden among the rows, or the family keeping the secret until the exact right moment. Barb and Bart treat every proposal like it’s happening in their own backyard, because it is.

Company & Celebration Events


For company retreats, client dinners, anniversary parties, and celebrations, the entire estate can be yours — up to 70 guests among the vineyards as the sun drops behind the hills. We arrange tables under the pergola and market lights, pour the wines we grew on this ground, and can coordinate catering from passed appetizers to full seated dinners. Live music — a jazz trio under the oak, a guitarist among the vines — can be arranged to carry the evening.
When you reserve the entire estate, we’d rather share wine than charge rent: there is no site fee. Your event begins with six cases of estate wine — poured for your guests that evening, with every unopened bottle yours to take home. Your event budget becomes wine in your cellar instead of a line item you’ll never see again. Smaller gatherings are priced individually.
